Test sessions available up to 7 days a week and 3 times a day
IDP IELTS India lets you choose the way you want to take your IELTS – on computer and paper. When you opt for IELTS on computer, you can choose from multiple test sessions – up to 7 days a week, 3 times a day in 12 cities and get your results within 5-7 days. However, the availability of the IELTS dates may differ as per the test type and module you have opted for – Academic or General Training.
Paper-based tests are available four times a month or 48 times a year, and are generally held on Saturdays and Thursdays to provide flexibility and convenience to the test seekers.
IELTS is a test of all four language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. You will take the Listening, Reading and Writing tests all on the same day one after the other, with no breaks in between. For the Speaking test, you can book a slot online on your preferred date and time. If you fail to choose a slot within the stated time period, a time slot will be automatically allocated to you.
When booking your IELTS test dates, keep these in mind:
- The test dates may vary as per location and test type. So once you decide on your preferred test type and location, pick the most feasible one from the list of dates available
- Ensure to pick the correct test type (computer-delivered or paper-based IELTS, IELTS for UKVI and Life Skills) and module (Generic Training or Academic) before booking your test
Booking your IELTS date online is very simple but if you are confused with which module to take or which type to opt for, come to your nearest IDP IELTS office and we’ll help you book it offline.
